We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join our growing team at Vector's propulsion test facility near Tucson, Arizona

Job description

Responsibilities include fabrication, assembly and testing of mission critical propulsion components for the Vector Launch System. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with both on-site and remote engineering, logistics, operations and manufacturing personnel to fabricate, assemble and test propulsion components, establish and maintain ground test equipment, and support launch operations.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5-years experience in the assembly/integration/test of high-pressure ground and vehicle systems; leadership or supervisor experience preferred.
  • Experience in the handling, installation, testing, maintenance and upgrade of cryogenic systems and their components: valves, regulators, tubing, pressure/temperature/flow measurement devices.
  • Experience in hot fire testing of liquid rocket propulsion systems is a plus
  • Experience in the integration of flight propulsion systems is a plus
  • Experience with electronics and electrical equipment a plus.
  • Experience with fabrication, welding and metalwork a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills in manufacturing/assembly/integration/test processes
  • Extremely detail oriented; willing to take on new challenges and work independently
  • Experience using precision calibrated tools
  • Experience with following quality standards such as ISO 9001; AS9100 experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphical communications skills
  • Must be willing and able to handle concurrent tasks requiring various sets of skills at multiple stages of the product development cycle
  • Ability to transition products from engineering to production environments

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency ("Green card")
  • Travel: Daily local to test site north of Tucson; approximately 25% domestic U.S. travel to Orange County offices and launch facilities in other states.
