The Vice President of Business Development and Sales is responsible for meeting all Order requirements in the company spanning commercial and government markets. To achieve this requirement, the individual is also re-sponsible for ensuring Vector is properly positioned, has a firm grasp of competitive intelligence, understands the customers' plight, and is capable of clearly communicating Vector's value proposition to customers and differenti-ates Vector in industry. The individual will be responsible for managing a team of diverse individuals that are ge-ographically dispersed, as well as any contractor and associate partnerships that the company creates to develop channels to the market. The individual will be responsible for managing an annual budget and ensuring proposals are effectively communicated while being fully compliant with customer Request for Proposal requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of how space access is used to meet mission requirements, including all relevant value chains. The VP for BD & Sales will also be able to maintain a high ratio of "keep sold" customers, which are defined as returning customers or conversion of options within an existing Contract. This position will own the responsibility of generating revenue for the company.

Candidates should have experience working in both large companies and within a startup environment. Prefer-ence will be given to those with Aerospace experience as well as those with high-tech sales experience.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, often at short notices, and potentially for long periods of time
  • The individual may need to have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI level

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science

Experience (Years): 15 years

Experience (Technical): Proven experience in either: program management, systems engineering manage-ment, business development management. History of managing a diverse team of sales and business development personell

Travel: Domestic and international

Citizenship: US Citizenship required

Additional Information

The Vice President of Business Development & Sales will be eligible for an annual bonus that is directly related to her/his ability in meeting a combination of Order requirements, budgets, sales targets and any other factor defined by the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, the definition of which will be established in the year prior to receipt.
