Our Quality Systems Manager will work with various groups and individuals within the company to ensure that the corporate quality systems are clearly developed, trained, implemented and improvement of all company/customer quality requirements.  They will manage, drive and steer small teams and groups required to develop the systems and work with same groups to ensure compliance.  They will be responsible to ensure, via objective auditing practices, that all quality processes and procedures are being adhered to and when not, a structured approach to driving countermeasures for non-conformities.  They are responsible to develop and manage the entire quality landscape via proper reporting tools and meeting structures to communicate same.  They will be a hands-on type able to not just manage, but to also do.  Ensure the QMS policies are maintained and developed in accordance with customer requirements and AS9100.  Must drive toward sustainability of quality for both product and systems and demonstrate a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities / Functional Role & Duties:

Develops and assists in implementation of Quality Systems and procedures.
Develops, implements and manages internal and external process audit system.
Maintain calibration control processes.
Interpret data, analyze results and provide detailed reports for reporting and communications needs.
Manage corrective and preventive action processes as required based on processes defined within the QMS.
Identify and recommend process improvements on QMS processes on a proactive basis utilizing the various Continuous Improvement Process tools.
Must be a hands-on problem solver with Aerospace skills and background.
Work collaboratively with the design engineering teams towards the completion of design, test and evaluation within Product Development.
Establish priorities and effectively manage projects to complete duties/projects within required time.
Use methodical and systematic analytical approaches to peform effective root cause analysis along with leading corrective action efforts.
Review and analysis of quality performance trends and identifying effective countermeasures.
Ability to identify missing/needed processes via gap analysis tools and effectively leading efforts to close these gaps.
Coordinate & prioritize requests made by all departments in order to ensure cohesiveness within the company in regards to the corporate level Quality Management System.
Must be able to present quality targets, problem landscape and overall status of quality to senior executives and management.
Perform other duties as assigned by manger to ensure corporate targets are achieved.

         Successful Results from processes and procedures put into place.
         Adherance to corporate level targets

 

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Engineering (Aerospace/Materials/Manufacturing/Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial).  Masters preferred.  Quality Mangement Systems implementation experience preferred.

Preferred Experience:

10+ Years of relevant experience and 5+ years in management role in a aerospace operation.
Experience within a aerospace engineering design, development and manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to drive key  targets in aerospace company.
Experience driving & steering others to obtain desired results quality within aerospace industry including all aspects of the process.

Operating Environment:

        Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
        Must be able to deal with work-related deadlines, accountabilities and responsibilities
        Must be able to work under frequent job pressure generated by short and inflexible deadlines
        Must be able to work independently and under time constraints
